JP Reese makes weight for his Bellator 50 fight against Martin Brown on September 17th at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, FL. The local bout will be the first of the night and can be seen at starting at 5:00 PM.

ESPN 790 got the chance to sit down with JP to discuss his wrestling background and what prompted his to step away from a carrier in the financial sector.

Bellator 50 invades Hollywood's (FL) Hard Rock Live this Saturday, September 17th. One of the fighters on the show, American Top Team's JP Reese, joined me for an audio interview for my MMA and Boxing talk show, Fighter's Fury.

JP has an interesting and inspiring story. He gave up a lucrative career in the financial sector to pursue his dream of being a pro MMA fighter. As a former collegiate wrestler at Mizzou, he had a great wrestling base to get started with.

JP and I discuss his upcoming fight, the current state of MMA, and why wrestling is the best base for a mixed martial artist.

The audio interview is attached to this blog. Just look to the right side of the page, and click play under the picture.

If you're going to see Bellator 50 live at the Hard Rock, make sure you're in your seat by 5pm. That's when the fights will start, and they will start promptly. If you're not in South Florida, you can watch the prelim fights streaming live at, and the main card will air live on MTV 2.

The 5 minute interview can be heard at
