In another exciting addition for local fans, (7-2-1) Ryan Quinn, fighting out of Connecticut, will face the toughest challenge of his young career when he meets (8-1) Massachusetts native Brett Oteri. Both fighters last fought in the same building as this bout, Mohegan Sun, but competing for Reality Fighting. Oteri took a unanimous decision win in February over Tim Pinney, while Quinn fought to a draw in May with Joe McGann. This will be Quinn’s third fight for Bellator, holding wins over Mike Winters earlier this year and Matt Sung Lee last year. This is Oteri’s debut for a major promotion. Like fellow Bellator 48 competitor Mark Griffin, Oteri is a longtime veteran of local promotion Cage Fighting Xtreme, owing an undefeated 5-0 record including a victory of current CFX Middleweight Champion Robbie Roberts. Both fighters have a track-record of pushing opponents to the limit, and both have a knack for getting decision wins. A win by Oteri will almost assuredly get him another Bellator fight, if not a contract.
